In a recent event today, Cloudflare, in fact, whole Cloudflare network was reportedly down which caused massive Cloudflare outage. This resulted in millions of websites going down at once with a returning error “502 Bad Gateway”.
Today, 2nd July 2019, at 13:52 UTC, Cloudflare reported on its online monitoring status website that Cloudflare has observed network issue which left millions of websites down.
In an official statement at Cloudflare Status, they said,
Cloudflare is observing network performance issues. Customers may be experiencing 502 errors while accessing sites on Cloudflare.
We are working to mitigate impact to Internet users in this region.
24 minutes later, Cloudflare announced that they’ve fixed their issue and are now monitoring if the issue happens again.

Discord Went Down Too!
Users have reported issue accessing Discord going down too. Discord made an official announcement on their status page too.
Update: Going Back Online
After more than 30 minutes plus, websites seem to have been getting back online as Cloudflare said in the statement that they are monitoring their service to make sure all websites are online.
As mentioned in their announcement, Cloudflare reported a spike in their CPU and now they’re investigating the root cause behind this issue.
Cloudflare has reported analytics delay on their system. This caused users too late delivery of the analytics in their panel. Cloudflare is working on it to get it resolved as soon as possible.
